Preventive care services are checkups, immunizations, screenings and prenatal care.  They're essential to good health - and they help keep you from needing care for illness later!

Preventive or routine exams are when there is no exisiting condition being monitored or there is no complaint about your health, regardless of the reason you scheduled your visit.

If during your visit, a condition is diagnosed, monitored, or treated, you may be responsible for an office visit regardless of why you scheduled the appointment.  If you receive a prescription to treat a condition or an ongoing prescription is renewed during your visit, you may then be responsible for an office visit charge.
