Our mission is to provide an excellent health care experience for all members. And, while that sometimes means going to your doctor to receive the care you need -- sometimes it also means being your own "health manager". No, you won't get paid a salary but you will get some reward including a healthier lifestyle as a result of knowing what your health risks are, what you can do to prevent injury or accident, and when to get medical care.

  • Adult Immunizations/Vaccination: Shots aren't just for children. Get informed about how to reduce the risk of disease with adult immunizations and vaccinations, including a Shingles vaccine fact sheet.

  • Breast Cancer: Research has shown that treatment is most effective when breast cancer is detected early through regular screening exams.

  • Centers of Excellence: Learn about Medica's quality-focused initiative that relies on evidence-based care to help ensure that Medica members get safe, quality bariatric care, including surgery for morbid obesity.

  • Childhood Immunizations: Immunizing your child is one of the most loving things you can do to ensure a healthy start to life.   • Health Management: Become your own "health manager." Learn ways to improve your well-being by playing an active role in all aspects of your health care.

  • Healthy Pregnancy Program: Medica aims to help pregnant Medica members and their babies achieve optimal health through pregnancy. Learn more about Medica's Healthy Pregnancy program and find additional resources to keep you informed throughout your pregnancy.

  • Medica Behavioral Health Program: Offers an integrated medical behavioral program which supports members suffering from depression, anxiety, stress and other mood disorders.

  • mymedica Health and Wellness Center: Learn to live a healthier lifestyle and improve your overall wellbeing with the Health and Wellness Center on mymedica.com. This program has something for everyone -- young and old, healthy and those managing chronic diseases (MCHA members must be 18 years of age to participate.) Take a personal wellness assessment, complete health topics, set personal goals, and much more.

  • Pediatric Asthma: Does your child have pediatric asthma, or is he/she at risk? Read more about the condition, learn at risk warning signs, and get helpful tips on caring for a child with asthma.

  • Preventive Care: Prevention is key to living a long and healthy life. Take care of yourself by living a healthy lifestyle, eating well and staying current with recommended screenings and immunizations.   • Rare Disease Management: MCHA offers rare disease management programs leading to enhanced member well-being and lower health care costs. These clinical programs are designed to provide education and resources that help support the members’ ability to manage chronic conditions.

  • Reducing Falls by Seniors: Thirty percent of people over age 65 fall each year. Read some statistics, find out if you or someone you love is at risk, and learn how to reduce the risk of falling.

  • Tobacco Use: Trying to quit smoking? Find out about Medica's Tobacco Cessation program to help members quit, including nicotine replacement therapy.

  • Patient Safety: Patient safety means "freedom from accidental or preventable injuries produced by medical care." Get information and tips to help prevent medical errors and ensure safer health care.

  • Transplant Case Management: Learn more about Medica's program to coordinate services throughout the transplant process, and get contact information to talk with a Registered Nurse Case Manager.
