No.  You are not required to call Medica before receiving services.  However, we would encourage you to check your benefits and the network status of your provider prior to receiving services.

There are a limited number of services require that you to obtain written authorization from Medica prior to recieving the service. Talk with your provider to see if the services you will receive will need prior authorization.
